Bayern Munich are still adamant that Robert Lewandowski will honor his contract with the German club and remain the team’s striker until June 30, 2023, but the striker feels differently and wants to join Barcelona.
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has shown that he is still determined to keep the Lewandowski at the club this summer, as he went to meet the Polish forward face to face.
According to a report from Sky Germany, Salihamidzic traveled to the striker’s holiday home in Mallorca to persuade him to change his mind.
However, it was a meeting that did not have the desired effect, as the ex-Dortmund player is still keen to leave and join Barcelona. If he joins Barcelona, it is certain that the best odds will be on Barcelona’s victories next season.
Lewandowski has already stated on more than one occasion that he is ready to put an end to his time at Bayern and, according to Bild, he has again urged the German club to facilitate an exit.
